About Me

Welcome

It is lovely to share my story with you.

When I trained as a nurse and midwife, I had no idea how often I would experience life as a patient. To experience both sides changed my perspective and desire, to combine a holistic approach with medical science as I become proactive about my wellbeing.

My first introduction to the power of coaching conversations began as a participant in a behavioural medicine research program called How to Fight Back Against Serious Illness.

Learning about neuroplasticity and the Brian’s ability to adapt and rewire was life changing. It helped me navigate my own journey to wellbeing. I became fascinated about the science of behavioural change and powerful coaching conversation that inspire new outcomes.

Recovering from radical surgery and adapting to the “new normal” was challenging. I had to alter my mindset, develop new coping skills and focus on new decisions.

A true friend kindly advised. “Do not be defined by your illness, focus on your dreams, your art, yoga, travel and your family life that brings such joy”.

The gift of my illness was the behavioural medicine program. Understanding that self-care is not a luxury; it is an investment in your health is part of the journey. I began to embrace new opportunities and work with coaching frameworks to follow my dreams.

Twenty years later I followed a long-held dream; to study at University College Cork and complete a thesis that explored self-care and stress reduction. This led to the design of MEGA Coaching tool, as a structured way to support others moves toward their goals with clarity and compassion.

My book New Conversations Will Change Your Life, shares how I navigated life’s journey with coaching framework.

It offers you MEGA as Your Roadmap for life’s Journey.
